Depending on the model of the cell phone, it can serve as many things besides just a calling and SMS device. Ask the people with you to keep quiet for a while so you can hear your cell phone. It may just be under the pillows or the sofa. If you lost it outside your home or office, then try to still call to locate a lost cell phone. It is still possible that a kind hearted soul got hold of it and will return it to you. You may have problems if your cell phone is on silent or vibrate mode. If it is on vibrate mode, you can still hear the buzzing sound in total silence. If it is on silent mode, or if perhaps it may already have an empty battery, then you would have to trace your steps and try to look for it anywhere you may have left it.

Some service providers may assist you to locate a lost cell phone. If you give them your number, they may be able to trace the location of your phone. If you fail to find you cell phone, you may already ask your service provider to block it to avoid unnecessary charges. In some countries, if you have a prepaid phone, you may need to just buy a new SIM card because there’s no way to get your old number back. This may mean loss of your contacts and messages. If you cannot locate a lost cell phone, then you may already have to buy a new one.
